Anti Social Social Club Multicolor T-Shirt Collection Review: A 60 cm Drop, a 5 kg Stack and a $6.87 Tee

A $6.87 ASSC raglan tee went through the Atlas bench: 60 cm drop over a ceramic mug, 5 kg stack on a sealed bottle, then a corner-crush check. The fabric passed. The size chart is still the weak point.

Belege

A T-shirt is the cheapest thing most people add to a Hipobuy consolidation box, and almost nobody tests it as cargo. We do. This is the Anti Social Social Club multicolor T-shirt collection, SKU 7718733486, listed at $6.87 against a $7.28 original price and marked in stock. The listing describes a loose-fit, collarless crew-neck pullover in 230gsm double-yarn cotton, with raglan short sleeves, a printed finish and sizes S through XXL. Our testing team ordered two: size M in cherry blossom 28 black and size L in cherry blossom 27 white.

What arrived at the bench

Before anything went into the drop box, we ran the photo check. The warehouse image set was compared line by line against our order form: colourway label, size label, chest graphic, sleeve construction. The raglan seams were visible in the flat-lay frames, matching the listing text, and the colourway and size on the photos matched our order. No mismatch, so no repack was requested. Both tees shipped in their original poly bags, folded with the print facing inward.

The three physical checks

60 cm drop onto foam, ceramic mug inside

The tee was packed beside the mug in our reference set and dropped 60 cm onto the foam-lined box, twice. The mug survived. The tee came out with sharp fold lines across the chest and a gloss shift along the crease where the print had been compressed. Under a desk lamp, no cracking or lifting of the print was visible at the fold crests. This is a soft-good test, not a brutal one — the tee was acting as packing material as much as it was being tested.

5 kg stack with a sealed 500 ml bottle

We laid the folded tee flat under a sealed 500 ml bottle and stacked 5 kg on top for 24 hours. The bottle did not leak. Both the neckband and the pit-to-pit measurement were taken before and after; the neckband returned to within 3 mm of its starting figure after a short rest, which sits inside our repeatability, not inside the listing's stated 1–3 cm tolerance. The ribbing recovered. That is the best result this test produces for knitwear.

Corner-crush inspection after transit

After the parcel reached our Rotterdam bench, the outer corner was deformed and the tee carried a hard diagonal crease across the graphics. A cold hand-wash and a line dry softened it considerably but did not erase it. Nothing structural failed: no split seams, no popped stitching at the raglan joins, no print flaking along the abraded edge. If a crease that survives one wash bothers you, this is a fold-and-pack problem, not a garment defect.

Fabric, print and the wash caveat

At 230gsm in double-yarn cotton, the hand-feel is a mid-weight knit rather than a papery blank; the fabric has enough body to hold the loose cut without collapsing at the hem. The print is the vulnerable part. Owners of ASSC tees are consistent on this point, and our sample behaved accordingly: heat is the enemy, not wear.

"Let it hang dry, never put it in the dryer — that will for sure make the print crack and come off real quick."

— owner advice posted in r/antisocialsocialclub. We cold-hand-washed and air-dried both tees for exactly that reason, and would not treat the tumble dryer as optional caution.

Sizing is still the real risk, not the parcel

The listing calls this a loose fit and declares a 1–3 cm measurement tolerance, which is a wide window on a garment where a single size step is often only 2–4 cm. Buyer reports conflict: some owners say ASSC runs very small in certain drops and advise going up at least one size, while others find the tees true to size or slightly big. Our two samples fitted to the chart we measured ourselves, pit-to-pit and body length, but with raglan sleeves there is no shoulder seam to anchor a comparison, so measure the chest and the length rather than the shoulder. Confirm the chart for the specific colourway before you pay — the cherry blossom series alone runs roughly 01 through 29, mostly in black, white, grey or burgundy.

Packing notes for a consolidation box

  • Weigh the tee yourself before consolidation: the listing shows 0.00 kg, which is a placeholder, not a shipping weight.
  • Keep the print facing a soft surface, never against a shoe box corner or a bottle cap — that is how the crease in our sample formed.
  • The tee makes decent void fill for a consolidation, but do not use it to wrap anything heavier than itself.
  • Handle the graphics as the fragile component: fold along the body, not across the chest print, if you ask for a repack.

Our read on it

As cargo, this tee is forgiving: it absorbed a drop, a stack and a crushed corner without a single failed seam. As a purchase, the risk sits in the size chart and in the print's relationship with heat, and the brand's documented history of long handling times — historically quoted at 14–24 business days before delivery — remains the other thing to plan around. Verify the measurements for your colourway, cold-wash it, and it earns its $6.87 inside a box that already needed filling.

Redaktionsurteil

A mid-weight 230gsm raglan tee that survived our drop, stack and corner-crush checks without a failed seam. Buyers should verify measurements per colourway before ordering and keep it away from heat.

Was funktioniert

  • Survived a 60 cm drop, a 5 kg stack and a crushed parcel corner with no seam failure.
  • 230gsm double-yarn cotton holds the loose cut; neckband recovered to within 3 mm.
  • Roughly 60 colourway options across S–XXL, mostly black, white, grey and burgundy.

Worauf achten

  • Printed graphics are heat-sensitive; owners report cracking and peeling in the dryer.
  • Size reporting is inconsistent across drops, and the listing allows 1–3 cm tolerance.
  • The brand's handling and shipping times have historically been long.

Häufige Fragen

Did the tee survive being packed next to a ceramic mug?
Yes. After two 60 cm drops onto foam with the mug in the same parcel, the mug was intact and the tee showed fold creases but no cracked or lifted print at the crease lines.
What did the 5 kg stack test show?
The folded tee sat under a sealed 500 ml bottle and 5 kg for 24 hours. The bottle did not leak, no seams split, and the neckband returned to within 3 mm of its pre-test measurement.
Should I cold-wash it before wearing?
We would. The print is the fragile part, and ASSC owners consistently report heat damage in the dryer. Cold hand-wash and line dry, and do not iron directly over the graphic.
